Jason Vanacour’s practice is concentrated on complex business litigation, insolvency matters, and global financial transactions of all types and sizes. Jason has experience handling large commercial litigation matters involving business disputes, fraud, insolvency litigation, and professional malpractice. He has litigated against some of the world’s largest companies and financial institutions in diverse jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, UK, Middle East, and various offshore jurisdictions.
Jason spent several years as Assistant General Counsel for an international alternative investment firm. In this role he managed litigation involving securities and investment fraud and supervised the enforcement and collections of complex financial contractual obligations, including overseeing a claim that resulted in a finding of fraud by the U.K. Commercial Court against an international banking counter-party.
Jason frequently advises entities, solvent and insolvent estates, and individuals from around the world in identifying wrongdoing and misconduct in multifaceted, international commercial transactions and investments.
Jason has been lead counsel in federal and state jury trials, appeals, arbitrations, and other alternative dispute resolution forums. He has served as settlement counsel on local and international matters prior to and during formal litigation. Additionally, while General Counsel for the United States Youth Soccer Association, the nation’s largest youth sports organization, Jason garnered valuable experience in handling non-profit matters relating to corporate governance, bylaws, formation, employment, and other operational issues.
